Association reports the first Singapore GSSA
The association records the first Singapore GSSA on 1 July 2024. Discussions addressed sustainable agriculture, food security, green technology and international exchange.
The inaugural sustainable-agriculture summit brought a dedicated forum for discussing agricultural resilience and the environment.
The first GSSA met at Singapore Sustainability Academy on 1 July 2024. The venue records five panels covering food security, ESG in agriculture, decarbonisation and carbon credits, agricultural technologies, and investment.
Participant accounts describe technology discussion ranging from agrivoltaics and satellite tools to AI and biotechnology, with attention to smallholder adoption. A separate rice panel addressed sustainable production. A follow-up visit to Nippon Fish Farm in Kranji examined edible aquaponics and the infrastructure behind a changing production model.
