Agricultural investment and trade dialogue in Laos
A meeting with Laos’ Ministry of Planning and Investment examined how agricultural cooperation can connect production, technology and investment. The exchange brought the association’s international experience into discussion of Lao agricultural development and the wider services needed to support trade.

An association delegation met informally with Laos’ Minister of Planning and Investment on 23 April 2024. The discussion addressed agricultural modernization, technical innovation, greener development and the prospects for agricultural trade finance.
Participants considered industrial development, information technology, financial cooperation and agricultural investment. Invitations to the Singapore sustainable-agriculture summit and the Cyprus farmers forum formed part of efforts to connect the bilateral dialogue with a wider international exchange programme.
