An informal dialogue in Vientiane
On 2 November 2025, the association held an informal exchange with Lao party and state representatives in Vientiane, ahead of the fourth Global Farmers Forum. The meeting continued its institutional relationships in Laos.

WFA Secretary General Zhang Qi met representatives of the Lao Party inspection commission and the Lao Front for National Construction in the capital. The association’s account describes a friendly exchange and agreement on a basis for continuing cooperation.
The gathering involved colleagues from the association’s international divisions, country offices and youth committee. It took place the day before the Vientiane forum session, but is recorded here as a separate meeting.
