Agricultural knowledge and market access in Laos
An April 2024 meeting with Laos’ Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry examined sustainable agricultural development, technical exchange and international market access. The dialogue joined producer opportunities with ideas for research and training, connecting Lao agricultural priorities with the association’s wider cooperation programme.

The association’s delegation met Laos’ agriculture and forestry minister on 24 April 2024. The discussion covered international agricultural exchange and ways to bring Lao agricultural products into Chinese and Southeast Asian markets.
The report records ideas for a Southeast Asian agricultural research branch and a training centre in Vientiane. The conversation focused on technical and intellectual support for agricultural development; it does not establish that these facilities were subsequently opened.
